Back in 2006, the then director of the Golan Tourism Association, Israel Eshed, worked with the SPNI and the IDF to establish the Golan Trail, a 120-kilometer path that takes between five to eight days to complete. Today, the trail has created a local tourist boom, attracting up to 40,000 hikers, cyclists, and horseback riders every year.
